The Wild Card Brewing Company has been given the go ahead to host an event aimed at showcasing local breweries, vendors and much more.
Monday night, Quinte West council approved Trenton brewery’s request to hold the event on October 8 that will see the closing of Gotha Street from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Stanley Street will be used for parking.
There was some hesitation from a few councillors and Chief Administrative Officer Charlie Murphy said there were a few neighbours in the area who voiced concerns.
Quinte West OPP Inspector Christina Reeve said they have been working with the owner who has been accommodating. “We don’t see any problems as long as it’s a small venue she said and there have been no concerns from us at this point.”
The security will be provided by the brewery and The City’s tourism department will help with marketing the event.
