The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs will be making a stop in Prince Edward County Wednesday to hear farmers’ concerns after severe drought wreaked havoc on many of this year’s crops.
During his visit, the Honourable Jeff Leal will be visiting Reynolds Farms in Picton at 2 p.m.
County Mayor Robert Quaiff.
Mayor Quaiff says it’s unclear if Leal will make a compensation announcement but added the Minister is keen on meeting with local farmers and seeing the effects of the ongoing drought conditions.
