Northumberland Hills Hospital is getting a big boost from the provincial budget.
As part of the $51.8 billion budgeted in 2016 for healthcare, Northumberland Hills in Cobourg will receive an additional $613,700 in base operating funding in 2017/17.
Northumberland Quinte West MPP Lou Rinaldi touts how it’s part of a greater investment to help reduce wait times across the province.
In the same budget, both Quinte Healthcare and Campbellford Memorial Hospital recently received funding to add to their annual base budgets. QHC got $4 million and Campbellford $123,000.
