It’s always a nice surprise to find some money you didn’t expect to have, and that’s the situation Quinte West council finds itself in.
Tax rates from the education system came in a bit lower than expected, which means the city has another
$125,000 to use as council wishes.
Staff is recommending the money be set aside to kick start the building of a hospice facility in Quinte West.
Council meets tonight at 6:30 at city hall.
