Belleville city council will be considering a multi-year contract with the Belleville Chamber of Commerce.
At its meeting tomorrow night, council will discuss a contract which would run until the end of 2019.
As part of the contract, the Chamber would help organize numerous events, including the Christmas lighting display, Family Day activities, Canada’s 150th anniversary celebration and more.
One additional event would be added in 2018 and another in 2019.
The cost will also increase under the contract.
In 2016 it is $90,000 and by the end of 2019 it will jump to more than $112,000.
Council meets at 5 p.m. Monday at city hall.
