Officials at C-F-B Trenton are preparing for a repatriation ceremony tomorrow for the latest Canadian soldier killed in Afghanistan. Details haven’t been finalized, but the body Private Tyler William Todd is expected to return to the base at two o’clock in the afternoon..
Todd died on Sunday morning when an improvised explosive device detonated while he was on a security patrol southwest of Kandahar City. He was the 142nd member of Canada’s military to die in Afghanistan since the mission began in 2002. His body will be taken after the ceremony along the stretch of Highway 401 known as the Highway of Heroes to Toronto for autopsy.
