Quinte West O-P-P have put away their lasers… for now.
O-P-P traffic enforcement teams yesterday (SAT) did what they’re calling a “major traffic initiative” on old Highway 2… using laser radar to gage the speed of passing vehicles.
Police say they charged 15 motorists for speeding and one person for driving without a licence.
The Quinte West detachment says they’ll continue to moniter the highways and intersections within the city… because the public demands traffic safety.
