Land ambulance services in Prince Edward-Hastings are getting a boost from the province.
The provincial government is investing over 5.9 million dollars in Hastings County and just over 1.1 million in Prince Edward County.
Hastings County sees an increase of 6.72% from 2009, and Prince Edward… an increase of close to 16 thousand dollars from last year.
All Ontario municipalities benefit from a 50/50 cost sharing agreement.
The government has been covering 50 percent of approved land ambulance costs since 2008.
