Belleville Police have released the name of the Shannonville man killed in a traffic accident on Harmony Road in Thurlow last night. Fifty-three-year-old Michael Rankin was pronounced dead at the scene. His cadillac was eastbound on Harmony at 10-40 last night at a high rate of speed when Rankin failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and hit a tree. Speed and alcohol may have been a contributing factor. Rankin was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
