The family of the late Jessica Lloyd have broken their silence, explaining in a television interview they still don’t know why the 27-year-old was targeted by her killer
Andy Lloyd, the older brother of Jessica, told the C-B-C his family is still struggling to understand what happened two months ago, when his sister was reported missing from her home on Highway 37. He said in the interview, which aired last night, it seems bad things are happening to good people, and it doesn’t make any sense.
Colonel Russell Williams, the former base commander of C-F-B Trenton, is charged with first degree murder in Jessica’s death and the death of Marie France Comeau of Brighton last November. He is also charged with two sexual assaults in home invasions in Tweed in September. Andy Lloyd described how helpless he felt during the search, and how terrible the family felt when police discovered Jessica’s body.
