About 200 science projects filled the Loyalist College gym over the weekend and a handful of students are headed to the Canada Wide Science Fair. Students from grades 4 to 12 from across the region competed in the 51st annual Quinte Regional Science and Technology Fair. Some of the best grade winners include: Michael Haddad’s “Does the height of a buliding help it to better withstand an Earthquake?”.. and, Kurtis Wright’s project called, “Go wash your hands!” Five winners are headed to Peterborough for the national science fair. They are : Justin Whitaker from Moira Seconday, Jonathon Butler of Stirling Senior, Emilie Leneveu from Marc Garneau and Emmanuelle Berube and Danny Manning of Albert College.
