The longest serving Mayor in the history of Quinte West and the driving force behind bringing the OPP to the relatively new city will be recognized later this week. The Quinte West OPP detachment building will officially be named the Robert J. Campney Police Services Building. Campney passed away after losing his battle with cancer in 2008. He served as Mayor from 2000 to 2006. The ceremony takes place Fridat at 11am and the public is invited to attend.
