The outbreak of a Norwalk-like flu virus at the Trenton Hospital is over.
Quinte Health Care infection control officials say 72 hours passed without any new patients showing any symptoms. The outbreak was called on December 30th at the hospital’s Inpatient Unit after a number of patients contracted a gastrointestinal illness, similar to Norwalk. There was an outbreak on Quinte 6 at the Belleville Hospital at the same time, but it ended about a week later.
Normal visiting hours have resumed at the Inpatient Unit in Trenton.
