The Chief of Police for the Belleville Police Service Murray Rodd is set to deliver remarks to the media in a press conference Thursday afternoon.
Belleville police say the update will be regarding the shooting outside the Sons of Jacob Synagogue Sunday evening.
Constable Jeff Smith is in critical but stable condition in hospital following a shootout outside the synagogue.
The gunman, identified by Belleville police as 29-year-old Sean Ward of Quinte West, died from his injuries in hospital on Monday night.
The press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m.
