Belleville Police are on the lookout for a night prowler in the city’s west end.
Police got a complaint at ten o’clock last evening from a Palmer Road resident about someone outside her basement window.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect stayed in front of the window for a period of time, and left by walking within the same footprints used to enter the property. Tracks in the snow showed the suspect wandered in the area of Sherwood Crescent, but did not approach any other windows other than two locations on Palmer Road. The suspect, who also broke into the second home on Palmer Road one night near Thanksgiving, is described as a man under 30 years old, and police are asking the public for more information about similar incidents.
