Prince Edward County’s mayor is unhappy with the reputation his community is garnering at the OMB.
Mayor Leo Finnegan said at his new year’s levee last Sunday he doesn’t want to celebrate the trend toward Prince Edward County issues going to the Ontario Municipal Board.
Finnegan said petitions against council, which are now sitting on a desk at the OMB, number nearly a dozen right now.
OMB rulings were made in December about the cases of the County’s winery policy and ward boundaries.
Rulings on other issues – like the East Lake cottages and Fields on West Lake developments – remain to be determined later this year.
