Money has been stolen in a break-in at an apartment in Belleville.
City police say the home was broken into sometime over the past week when the resident was away. Police are also investigating breakins to three storage units at a business on University Avenue. Nothing was stolen after the suspects cut through the locks on each unit. A vehicle parked in the Walmart Centre parking lot was broken into yesterday and a lap top was taken.. A man was then spotted smashing a rear window of a vehicle parked at Walmart two hours later, and he took a purse and fled in a Red Dodge vehicle, passibly an Avenger.. The suspect had what was described as ‘bleached’ blond hair and was wearing a beige colored jacket. The incident is still under investigation.
