A Marmora couple has been charged with theft in connection with elder abuse.
Central Hastings O-P-P received information in May, 2008 of elder abuse regarding financial matters.
Police arrested 45-year-old Richard Eldridge and 48-year-old Krista Normandin yesterday. They will appear today for a bail hearing in Belleville court charged with theft by person holding power of attorney. The victim was residing at a Marmora nursing home at the time of the offence.
Police wouldn’t release any more information about the victim or the value of goods or money involved.
