Northumberland County Council has asked staff to do more investigations into a second Trent River crossing in Campbellford, plus the costs and benefits of hiring a project manager for the highly controversial project.
Warden Peter Delanty says County employees will complete the Trent River Second Crossing Supplementary Investigations Draft Report. There will also be a review of the makeup of the steering committee on the project and possibly a permanent chair person, plus a review of whether to acquire a project manager to help take the workload off those involved..
The project focuses on replacing and/or expanding the bridge in Campbellford, which will be coming to the end of its life span in the next ten years or so.
