A rash of vehicle breakins and attempted house breakins in Belleville.
City Police say seven cars were hit on Everett Street, Jeanette Place, Conger Place and College Street West between Tuesday night and yesterday morning. Tools, a garage door opener, keys, loose change and two Christmas wreaths were stolen.
Police say suspects also tried to get into homes on College West, and Conger Place, and an electronics business on Pinnacle Street. It was the second attempted breakin at the business in the past two weeks.
