Local entertainer Andy Forgie was on hand yesterday to perform for kids, caregivers, and parents to help celebrate National Child Day yesterday.
The free concert… put on by the Hastings Children’s Aid Society, Quinte Children’s Foudnation, and the Ontario Early Years Centre… was also to help promote the community’s need for families to be able to help children whose own families are unable to care for them.
Representatives from the Hastings C-A-S talked about how fortunate they are to have “over 200 wonderful foster homes”… but also said there are “over 450 children and youth in need of supportive, caring homes.”
