The proposal to build 237 cottages on East Lake near Cherry Valley could go to an Ontario Municipal board hearing.
The Friends of East Lake has informed Prince Edward County it has appealed council’s decision last month to approve Cottage Advisors’ resort development.
The group disagrees with rezoning the 80-acre property, saying the summer homes will put a strain on services in the area, and compromise the residents’ quality of life.
No date has yet been set for an O-M-B hearing.
