An addition to a retirement home in Brighton has helped make the past month the most lucrative on the building scene so far this year.
Chief Building Official Rick Jones says 25 permits for projects worth 4.8-million dollars were approved in June.
The largest was for a 31-room, 16-thousand square foot expansion to Applefest Lodge, valued at two-million dollars.
Jones says there has been 10.2-million dollars in building activity in Brighton so far this year, compared to 16.8-million after the first half of 2008.
