It was almost a knife fight in broad daylight in east end Belleville.
City police say they came across one boy being chased by another with a knife yesterday afternoon (SAT) on Ann Street.
An investigation revealed an argument between the two parties had led to the brandishing of a knife.
Officers quickly apprehended the offending 17-year-old, charging him with assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.
He was given an August court date and released.
