There is some support from another municipality for the Brighton and District Chamber of Commerce efforts to keep a provincial vehicle licensing office in the community.
Cramahe Township Council voted to endorse the chamber’s position, a move made several months ago by Brighton Council .
The current owner of the Brighton office is not renewing his contract with the Ministry of Transportation, and there is concern Brighton residents will have to go to Trenton for those services.
