A Belleville councillor says it’s time to tighten the leash on dog owners who let their dogs run free in city parks. Councillor Taso Christopher told City Council last night he’s had complaints from people who walk their dogs on the leash…and are confronted by aggressive dogs off-leash. Christopher emphasized those people should dial 9-1-1 for police. He says they should “get their taxes working for them” since it’s against the bylaw to let dogs off the leash in city parks.
