Rescuers are searching Mount Washington, New Hampshire for an elderly hiker from Napanee. Officials say 70-year-old Peter Shintani was last seen eight days ago. He planned to hike the highest mountain in the Northeast last Tuesday and return home the next day. He lives alone and wasn’t reported missing until Tuesday morning. Lt. Douglas Gralenski says two search teams and a National Guard helicopter were out yesterday, but were hampered by a lack of information. Shintani’s planned route isn’t known and officials are not even sure he attempted the hike.
