Quinte West Council has passed a by law restricting smoking outside of municipally owned buildings. Under the by law, no one may smoke within 9 metres of an entrance or exit. Meanwhile, more restrictions on smoking could be coming next month. Quinte West Council will consider a by law banning smoking near sportsfields and playgrounds at their July meeting.
