Prince Edward County Council has given the green light for a Mississauga Construction firm to begin it’s work in earnest on Picton’s large new sewage treatment plant.
Today(yesterday), County council approved a total budget for the job at 29 million dollars, while approving payment of 24.7 million dollars for the design and construction of the facility to the firm, Maple Rinders Construction.
It’s expected the new sewage plant will be operational by the fall of next year.
