A well-known Prince Edward County farmer and a former president of the Prince Edward-Hastings-Northumberland Landowners Association has died in a traffic accident northeast of Bancroft.
The O-P-P say 55-year-old Wayne Gyde crashed his A-T-V on highway 28 on Saturday night.
He was taken to hospital in Bancroft by ambulance, but died from his injuries.
