A court martial has been scheduled for a soldier at C-F-B Trenton whose original National Defence Act charges for an incident in Afghanistan were suspended by the Defence Department.
Corporal Sterling Strong of 8 Air Maintenance Squadron has a court martial at Eight Wing on September 14th on charges of careless use of a firearm, disobeying a lawful command of a superior officer and an act to the prejudice of good order and discipline.
The military originally laid the charges after Strong was accused of refusing to stop playing quick draw with a pistol in his sleeping quarters at the Kandahar Air Field in March, 2007, after being spoken to by a Sergeant.
The charges were withdrawn in June, 2008, but have been reinstated for the court martial later this summer.
