An attempted arsonist was stopped before much damage was done in Belleville.
City police say a man was caught trying to set fire to a sign outside downtown bar in the early morning hours this morning (SUN).
The man was caught and the small fire was extinguished.
Police say the man was intoxicated.
The investigation continues.
