A 24-year-old Belleville man has been sentenced to another 18 months in prison for stabbing a woman who was trying to get away from him.
Justin Kleinsteuber was convicted in Belleville Court of aggravated assault, and charges of assault with a weapon and choking were withdrawn.
He was arrested by Belleville Police on October 30th, one day after a woman, who was fleeing a strange-acting guest in her home, was pulled back through a bedroom window, and stabbed several times with a knife in the abdomen. The incident occured in the southwest part of the city.
Kleinsteuber, who has been in custody since he was charged, was also given a 10-year weapons prohibition, put on probation for two years, and ordered to provide a sample to the National D-N-A Data Bank..
