A 15 year old Bayside Secondary School student will lead 24 local athletes into the Ontario High School Track and Field Championships in Toronto this weekend. Arielle Fitzgerald of Batawa finished first in the Long Jump and Triple Jump at last week’s Eastern Regionals. Also going to OFSAA with East Regional victories are Bayside’s Jessy Lee Swallow in the 200 metre, Jordan Langridge from East Northumberland Secondary School in the 800 metre and Brandon Deslauriers of Napanee District in the Shot Put. Ian Wallwork of Prince Edward Collegiate competes in the Javelin, Shotput and Discus.
