The owner of 77 rental properties has appealed Belleville City Council’s rejection of their conversion to condominium status to a provincial agency.
Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee will discuss a recommendation tonight to have the city solicitor represent Belleville’s interests before the Ontario Municipal Board.
The owner of the properties on Tracey Park Drive was denied an exemption from the condominium review for the townhouses earlier this year, but no O-M-B hearing date has been set..
City council, among other reasons, was concerned about affordable rental accomodations for the current tenants.
