The Children’s Aid Society has been notified of an alleged shoplifting mom in Belleville.
City police on Friday afternoon responded to a call of a female shoplifter leaving the Quinte Mall with “a young child in tow”.
Police pursued the woman and arrested her on Bell Boulevard.
Police say they recovered stolen merchandise from three stores at the mall.
A 22-year-old woman was taken to the police station with her son and released with a promise to appear in court.
She is charged with multiple counts of theft and possession of stolen property.
