Presqu’ile Provincial Park in Brighton isn’t going through the same downturn in visitors that’s reported at Sandbanks Provincial Park near Bloomfield this year..
Presqu’ile official Eve Rusaw says almost 128-thousand people have visited the park since it opened this spring, up by 55-hundred from the same time last year.
Almost 95-hundred campsites were occupied in July, compared to nine-thousand in the same month last year.
Sandbanks had a four per cent decrease in camping and day use numbers as of August second, and park superintendent Don Bucholtz says the cool, wet weather was likely responsible.
