The City of Quinte West recognized city staff members for their long service at council’s meeting on Wednesday.
The city recognized 54 staff members celebrating milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 45 years of service.
“This year’s Long Service Awards are especially meaningful to me, as this will be my final time presenting them as mayor,” said Mayor Jim Harrison in a press release.
“Over my 30 years in public office, I have had the privilege of recognizing staff members who work tirelessly to serve our community. Congratulations to everyone receiving a Long Service Award this year, and thank you for your many years of service to our community.”
The annual Long Service Awards recognize staff who have marked service milestones in five-year increments from five years onward.
