The Lawns We Do 360 Sprint class hit the track for race two of their four race championship at Brighton Speedway. The night also featured Late Models, Canadian Modifieds, Thunder Stocks, and Mini Stocks.
Swiernik crowned victor of the SOS sprint night.
The 25-Lap 360 Sprint race featuring the Southern Ontario Sprints was led to green by No.7c Dylan Swiernik. Behind him are No.5 DJ Christie, No.12DD Darren Dryden, No.19KC Mathieu Bardier, and No.47X Dylan Westbrook.
Swiernik fired first and was able to build a solid lead from Christie and the rest of the pack. By lap six, he began lapping the slower traffic as Christie continued to chase him for the lead.
A caution on lap twelve slowed down the field, but Swiernik was able to hold onto the lead during the restart. On lap sixteen Christie finally thought he had snagged the lead, but Swiernik came back on the following lap to take it back.
The feature finished with Dylan Swiernik holding his lead and taking home the checkered flag. DJ Christie finished second followed by Darren Dryden, Dylan Westbrook, and Skyler Evans.
Lambert fought hard to get another feature win under his belt.
Thirteen Late Models hit the track for their 30-lap feature with No.41 Ryan Lambert on the pole. No.21 Rich Sanders began in second place followed by No.07 Curtis King, No.3 Nathan Rinaldi, and No.46 Brandon Mowat.
As the green flag flew, Lambert jumped out to an early lead over the rest of the pack. In the first ten laps, the battle for second and third was fierce. Rinaldi and King flew past Sanders first with Mowat closely behind. Mowat snagged second by lap nine, but Lambert had built a significant lead while the pack was battling behind him.
On lap 14, a caution brought Lambert back to the pack and gave Mowat a chance to take the lead. Instead, Mowat had to battle Rinaldi for second place.
The last ten laps of the race saw Sandercock make a forceful appearance in the top three leaving Rinaldi behind. Lambert was able to secure his second feature win of the season despite multiple cautions.
The top five finishers included Ryan Lambert, Brandon Mowat, Charlie Sandercock, Anthony Rinaldi, and Curtis King.
Another great battle between Gregory and Wadforth
The Canadian Modified 25-lap feature began with No.85 Brittany Moon in first, followed by No.1 Shawn Gregory, No.7 Rick Phillips, No.91 Jaiden Miller, and No.40 Ron Wadforth.
With Moon firing first, she was able to hold onto the lead with an impressive performance in the first few laps of the feature. By lap eight Gregory had worked his magic and slid into first with Wadforth following closely behind.
Wadforth grabbed the second spot, and the Wadforth-Gregory battle was on. Eventually, Wadforth took the lead, leaving Gregory behind as he tried to reclaim the top spot.
Behind the top two Moon battled with Potts and Mowat, both trying to make their way to the top. She was able to hold her spot and on the last lap of the feature she got the best of Gregory and snagged the second position.
The feature finished with Ron Wadforth taking the win followed by Brittany Moon, Shawn Gregory, Phil Potts, and Leslie Mowat.
Gregory battled through the pack
Twenty-two Thunder Stocks hit the track with No.44 Tommy Bailey and No.45 Dylan Riley leading the field to green. No.74 Mike Lucas and No.82 Brad Brooking followed in the second row with No.26 Brock Gregory just behind them.
The green flag flew with Bailey holding the lead while Lucas grabbed the second spot from Riley. Meanwhile, Gregory battled his way through Riley and Brooking while chasing Lucas. Gregory was able to take the second spot on lap six with Bailey still in the lead.
Bailey held strong, but Gregory could not be stopped. On lap fourteen, Gregory took the lead and ran with it all the way to victory lane.
The race finished with Brock Gregory in first, Tommy Bailey in second, Dylan Riley in third, Tyler French in fourth and Doug Anderson in fifth.
The Gregory’s ran the Mini Stock show.
The fifteen lap Mini Stock showdown was led to green the by No.22 Keith Dunk. No.1 Coleson Gregory followed as well as No.97 Kyle Gregory, No.37 AJ Peters, and No.2 Trevyn McCrillis.
A quick yellow, after only one lap, put C. Gregory on the poll on the restart. K. Gregory followed closely behind with McCrillis and Peters right on his tail.
On lap nine, Tyson Gregory grabbed the third position from McCrillis. The top three for the rest of the feature were C. Gregory, K. Gregory, and T. Gregory.
The three traded positions but eventually went past the checkered flags with Coleson Gregory taking the win. Behind him, Tyson Gregory finished second, Kyle Gregory in third, Trevyn McCrillis in fourth, and Jack Veenstra in fifth.
