Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are looking for assistance in identifying an individual believed to be responsible for the theft of over $800.00 worth of plumbing supplies.
On Friday August 14, 2026, officers from the Peterborough County OPP were dispatched to a reported theft from a local business located on Chemong Road, in Selwyn Township. The complainant, a member of the staff of the store, reported that an individual arrived at their location just prior to 11:00am on a bicycle, entered the store and then proceeded to remove over $800.00 worth of plumbing supplies from the shelves. The suspect then left the store without making any effort to pay for the items.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20 years of age, wearing a white baseball hat, white tank top, black baggy pants, black shoes, and carrying a blue/black bag.
Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the suspect involved in this theft.
