Following a provincial trend home sales in the Quinte region slowed down in July when compared to the month before.
In Belleville 59 single family homes changed hands last month at a median price (the price at which the price of half of homes sold were higher
and half lower) of $540,000.
In June 63 homes were sold at a median price of $530,000.
In Quinte West in July 43 homes were sold with a median price of $507,000.
The month before 79 dwellings changed hands at a median price of $569,000.
An exception to the home sale slow down was found in Prince Edward County.
There 49 single detached dwellings sold last month at a median price of $700,000.
In June 46 units sold at a median price of $655,000.
In Brighton 19 houses changed hands in July with the median price being $675,000.
The month before 22 homes sold at a median price of $852,000.
