The July 2026 building report is in for Quinte West and it indicates a significant drop in construction compared to July of 2025.
In July, 46 permits were issued with a combined value of $6,551,825. In the previous July, the numbers were much higher with 69 permits issued with a total value of $12,049,014. Six of July’s permits represented new housing units, while in July 2026, eleven of the permits issued were for new residential units.
So far this year, Quinte West has issued 305 permits worth a total of $82,089,761. That is slightly down from this time last year, when 362 permits had been issued with a value of $71,749,215.
