The Ontario Provincial Police have found a second set of human remains on a property northeast of Smiths Falls and confirmed they belong to a missing Montague Township resident.
On July 20, 2026, members of the OPP located human remains on a property on Kelly Jordan Road. Following a postmortem examination, the deceased was identified as 75-year-old Robert Lambert of Montague Township, who was reported as missing to the Lanark County OPP on November 30, 2018. He was last seen in early July 2018.
This is the second set of human remains found on the Kelly Jordan Road property. OPP officers located the first set of human remains on October 30, 2025 while executing a search warrant. Those remains were confirmed as those of Robbie Thomson who was reported missing in October 2023. Four individuals have since been arrested and charged in connection with Robbie’s death.
