Belleville police are seeking witnesses as they continue to investigate a daytime robbery.
At approximately 1:05 p.m. on July 20, an elderly male was approached by a male and female in the area of Pepper Avenue.
They forcibly removed the older man’s gold chain and attempted to replace it with a counterfeit one.
The suspects also attempted to remove the victim’s gold watch but were unsuccessful.
Police say they were operating a white Chevrolet Equinox.
