A Belleville youth is facing charges after an altercation on Pinnacle Street.
On Tuesday, Belleville police were called to Pinnacle Street just after 10 p.m. regarding a disturbance. When officers arrived, they were told that three youths had confronted a woman, and that the confrontation escalated from shouting, when one of them punched the woman. Afterwards, the three youths fled the area.
After an investigation, a 16-year-old Belleville youth was found, arrested and charged with assault. Their name is not being released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The youth was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in August.
