Resolve Counselling Services Canada is celebrating another successful Walk for Wellness after community members, sponsors, supporters, and volunteers came together on Saturday, May 23 at Lake Ontario Park to raise more than $16,000 in support of local mental health services.
Funds raised through this year’s event will stay in the community and will help provide more than 150 counselling sessions for individuals and families across Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (KFL&A), increasing access to critical mental health support for those who need it most.
The annual Walk for Wellness is Resolve’s signature fundraising event, bringing together individuals, families, organizations, and local partners to support accessible counselling and wellness services while building awareness and connection across the region.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, and supported this year’s event,” says Stafford Murphy, Executive Director of Resolve Counselling Services. “Raising more than $16,000 means more people in our community will be able to access counselling and mental health support. The Walk for Wellness reflects what’s possible when our community comes together to invest in wellbeing and ensure no one has to face challenges alone.”
Resolve Counselling Services provides a wide range of programs including individual, family, and couples counselling; child and youth programming; support for those experiencing intimate partner violence; developmental disability services; financial wellness programming; and specialized supports for survivors of trauma.
