A large fire in Greater Napanee on Monday evening.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., fire crews were first called near South Shore Road, by Adulphustown.
Heavy black smoke and flame were visible from as far away as Kingston and Quinte West, as the building burned, which appeared to spread past outside of the barn.
Social media chatter indicates the property is called Hay Bay Genetics, described as a hog farm operation, however that has not been confirmed by official sources.
Those unofficial sources also state no animals were harmed in the blaze.
Loyalist Township, Mohawk, Tyendinaga Township, Deseronto, and Kingston Fire and other crews were called to the scene, along with Greater Napanee Fire.
Hydro One and the OPP also responded.
More information is anticipated Tuesday.
