Local school board members have approved over $4.4 million in construction tenders for renovations and roof replacements across the region.
The largest chunk of funding will send nearly $1.8 million to Prince Edward Collegiate Institute for structural roofing and learning commons renovations, with another $1.4 million for Susanna Moodie in west Belleville, for site services and parking reconfiguration.
Roof replacements are also coming to Bayside Secondary and Hermon Public School in north Hastings, with contracts awarded to several local and regional contractors.
