Trent Port Marina has received Blue Flag Designation from the International Blue Flag Jury and Swim, Drink, Fish for its excellence in marina management and commitment to environmental stewardship.
Trent Port Marina is recognized for creating a welcoming, environmentally responsible waterfront experience and is the only marina and beach in the Bay of Quinte area to have earned the Blue Flag Canada certification this year.
The Blue Flag is a prestigious international eco-certification for marinas and beaches that demonstrate commitment to providing a clean, safe, and accessible waterfront, and that meet rigorous environmental, safety, cleanliness, accessibility and sustainability standards. The organization Swim Drink Fish operates Blue Flag Canada and administers the certification on behalf of the Foundation for Environmental Education. In 2025, there were 25 Blue Flag sites in Canada, including 16 beaches and 9 marinas.
“Receiving Blue Flag Designation is a proud moment for Trent Port Marina and the Quinte West community,” said Andrew Belej, Supervisor of Trent Port Marina. “We are committed to providing an exceptional experience for boaters and visitors, while continuing to protect and enhance the natural beauty of the shoreline.”
The 2026 Trent Port Marina boating season opened May 1. A limited number of seasonal and transient slips are still available to boaters looking to make the marina their home port this summer. Learn more at trentportmarina.ca.
