Few details are known at this time, however, there was a fuel spill in Belleville Sunday morning.
A source tells us “a strong smell of diesel was coming from Victoria Harbour” in the morning hours.
We have confirmed a sailboat leaked in the area and the Canadian Coast Guard, Belleville Fire, and other officials have been called.
Belleville Fire deployed “absorbent booms” to contain the spill.
An environmental cleanup company has been called.
